Comparing Children

This is a competitive world and to survive in it, all of us have to be competitive. All of us would agree with this statement. Next we take this statement to our children’s life and make them enter into competition. Correct? But soon we start comparing them with their peers, siblings, and ask them to perform better and better to not settle anywhere else than number one position. Is this correct? We force them into the competition to just win. If they are second in any of these races, it is not acceptable. Have we ever thought what impact it must be causing on our children? They may be running in that race which they are not enjoying, they are not finding any interesting. How long will they continue? Will there be any point when they will just give up┬áparticipating in any race?..
